Schaefer & Companions at SEW Prague 2024: Artistic Watches for Collectors

On 7 and 8 November 2025, Schaefer & Companions took part in SEW Prague, one of Central Europe’s key watch events for collectors, independent brands and specialist media.

Held at the historic Žofín Palace, the exhibition offered visitors the opportunity to discover the Maison’s independent Swiss watches in person and explore a vision of watchmaking shaped by art, craftsmanship and human collaboration.

For collectors, seeing a watch directly reveals qualities that images cannot fully capture.

The depth of a handcrafted dial, the changing reflections of the case and the subtle variations created by the artisan’s hand become visible only through movement and light.

Schaefer & Companions develops artistic watches for collectors seeking distinctive design, limited production and a strong creative identity.

Each creation begins with a sculptural case and evolves through collaboration with independent artisans. The dial is not treated as a simple decorative surface, but as a space where material, technique and emotion come together.

The Solune case expresses this philosophy through a distinctive architecture inspired by celestial forms.

Its polished, matte and micro-blasted surfaces react differently to light, giving the watch a changing presence on the wrist. The case frames the artistic dial while remaining an essential part of the overall composition.

For watch collectors, rarity is not defined only by limited numbers.

It can also come from the identity of the design, the authorship of the artisan and the individual character of the finished piece. Slight variations in texture, colour or reflection become part of what makes each artistic watch unique.

SEW Prague 2025 also created an important meeting point for watch journalists and industry professionals.

Every Schaefer & Companions creation contains several connected stories: independent Swiss watchmaking, sculptural case design, contemporary métiers d’art and the personal vision of the artisans involved.

These artisans are recognised openly as Companions. Their contribution is not hidden behind the finished object but forms part of the watch’s identity and history.

During the event, collectors and members of the watch press were able to discuss the Maison’s approach directly and discover how each timepiece is shaped through dialogue between design, craftsmanship and mechanical watchmaking.

For those looking to buy an independent Swiss watch, Schaefer & Companions offers limited, made-to-order and individually crafted artistic creations, depending on the model and technique.

Private presentations allow collectors to explore each watch more closely, understand the artistic process behind it and discuss current availability directly with the Maison.

SEW Prague 2025 marked another step in Schaefer & Companions’ dialogue with European collectors, watch enthusiasts and international media.

The watches were presented not simply as objects, but as wearable works of art shaped by time, material and human hands.

The object measures time.

The human hand gives it meaning.
